Surrounded by the African bush, Thornicroft Lodge overlooks the Luangwa River frequented by large herds of hippos and other big game.

The main lodge is classically African in design, a spacious and open-planned area that houses the lounge, dining area, indoor BBQ and bar. With a traditional thatch roof, stonewalls and gnarled wooden colonnades the lodge has been designed to fit in with the natural environment. In the dining area we serve delicious international and traditional meals prepared by our chef. From the bar, you can order a selection of drinks for all occasions and unwind in our cosy lounge or Zambia shaped swimming pool.

In the evening you can sit around our open fire enjoying a pre dinner drink whilst comparing wildlife encounters and watch the sunset and stars come to life.
