The thrill of a walking safari, which South Luangwa is justly famous for, makes it Africa's finest destination to experience wildlife up close, at eye level and in their natural habitat.

You might encounter big game, but the beauty of a Walking Safari lies within the smaller things: Learning about animal tracks, droppings, nests and getting close to the incredible flora, birds and insects. A Walking Safari will leave you with a greater understanding of South Luangwa’s ecosystem and the interactions between all its living and non-living components.

A walking safari or a combination of walking and driving safaris are only available on request during the dry season. You can arrange the walking safari with your booking or at least one day in advance, because we need to hire an additional scout for this activity. We recommend you wear good (hiking) shoes.
